I am a graduate of the Library and Information Science program at San José State University. My elective coursework was heavily weighted in cataloging/metadata and information technology. My decision to concentrate on these areas was greatly driven by my personal satisfaction in my job as a library assistant in the cataloging department at Sacramento State University, and my aptitude for information technology. My professional interests include metadata issues and emerging discovery platforms within the context of our users' evolving information needs.
As an ALA Spectrum Scholar, I appreciate and support diversity both in our professional workforce and in considering the communities we serve. I have a strong work ethic, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and I am willing to accept new challenges. I am open to pursuing professional opportunities in California, Oregon, and Nevada.
